Aluminum and stainless should be specified by alloy/grade, temper or condition where relevant, shape, dimensions, finish, quantity and fabrication requirements.
What to consider
- Select the alloy or stainless grade for the actual environment and fabrication method.
- Differentiate architectural appearance requirements from purely structural or industrial requirements.
- Specify mill, anodized, polished or other finish when appearance matters.
- Consider galvanic compatibility when joining dissimilar metals in wet or coastal environments.
- Send drawings for custom profiles, cut pieces or fabricated assemblies.
How to request material
For the fastest quote, send the exact material description, dimensions, grade/specification if known, quantity, required processing, delivery or pickup requirements, and the date the material is needed. Drawings, cut lists and project specifications reduce ambiguity.
