Steel Bollard Buying Guide
Specify bollards by purpose, pipe diameter, wall/schedule, material/finish, above-grade height, embedment or base-plate design and cover requirements.
What to consider
- Clarify whether the bollard is for visual control, equipment protection, traffic management or an engineered impact requirement.
- Specify black or galvanized pipe and any coating or decorative cover.
- State total cut length and desired above-grade height.
- For embedded bollards, coordinate footing and reinforcing details with the project design.
- Treat crash-rated or engineered vehicle-barrier applications as a separate design/specification problem.
